A must try - The flavors are well-balanced, and the use of fresh spices truly sets the food apart. The service is friendly and attentive Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeaway, Bombay Bridgford never disappoints us It’s no surprise that this restaurant has remained one of the best Indian eateries in Nottingham for so long. Highly recommended !

Popped in to BB after watching Notts’ last league game, it was about 6:00 so fairly quiet. The lady in charge and her staff were very friendly and helpful with food advice. The business have someone who regularly visits India for new recipes and ingredients so there are regular specials on offer. We skipped starters (except for poppadoms) and just had mains. The 4 of us had different dishes & all really enjoyed them. Good to see plenty meals that you wouldn’t usually find, like fish for example. I had a lamb dish - sorry I forget the name but it was the only dish on the menu with a “3” hotness rating. As the manageress told us, it was indeed hotter than your average Madras (which is my standard choice.) If I’m being picky, I’d suggest they could broaden the heat ratings from 1-5 and offer more in the heat range? There were plenty 1 & 2 ratings (mild & medium) but would be nice to have more options above medium. So maybe score this lamb dish as a 5, and show which mediums are 2, 3 & 4; say where 4 is a typical Madras heat? Anyway, I’d happily visit again and try more of the medium dishes!

5 stars – A Hidden Gem with Exceptional Service! I was dined at Bombay Bridgford tonight and was absolutely blown away. I requested something a little different – a sizzling grilled platter of fish, salmon, shrimp, mushrooms, and onions – even though it wasn’t on the menu. The staff didn’t hesitate and delivered exactly what I had in mind. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavours were spot on – fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It’s rare to find a restaurant that’s not only accommodating but delivers such high quality. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great food and thoughtful service. I’ll definitely be back!

Christmas Day lunch, what a fabulous decision it was to do something different this year for Christmas lunch. Such a warm greeting when we arrived, and smiling attentive staff. Food was absolutely delicious, really good value for money, will definitely do this again next year.

Lovely night with a large group of 13 people. I had a lamb biryani & keema naan. Food was balanced, good level of spice for a sensitive palate like mine. Others had land shanks, butter chicken etc. Well presented, decent speed of service considering the group size. Around 40 a head with a couple drinks as well.

First class food and very friendly service. Cooking is of the highest quality with more than the usual choice of dishes. Pakoras and samosas were light and crisp. Meat is tender and dishes well spiced. Definitely a cut above the average curry house.
